How We Compare Tools
How we separate documented capabilities, editorial judgments, community reviews and hands-on testing.
Evidence before ratings
Our first commercial comparisons are based on linked official documentation. The date shown is the date those sources were checked, not a hands-on test date. Workflow suggestions are editorial judgments. We do not assign benchmark scores or declare an overall winner without test evidence.
Hands-on testing protocol
Future tests will use a shared task: a CRM dashboard with login, customer records, analytics cards and a responsive layout. Additional tasks cover a landing page, an existing repository fix, a refactor and a full-stack MVP. Each published test must record the prompt, date, plan, model where available, elapsed time, iterations, usage cost, manual fixes, error recovery and a reproducible artifact. This protocol is not a claim that those tests have already been run.
Community reviews
Community ratings are separate from editorial assessments. Listings with no reviews display “No reviews yet” and do not lower the directory average. The directory average is weighted by the number of reviews.
Commercial independence
Affiliate commission does not determine comparison conclusions or ratings. Paid placements must be labeled Sponsored. Sponsorship does not influence editorial ratings. Documentation checks should be repeated when a material capability or pricing change is discovered; dates must reflect actual checks.
