What is Meta Muse?

Meta Muse is a personal AI agent designed to complete real-world digital tasks on a user's behalf. Unlike a conventional chatbot that mainly answers questions, Muse can browse the web, connect to external services, carry out multi-step tasks, and continue working in the background.

Muse runs on a persistent, dedicated virtual machine called Muse Secure VM, which includes its own browser for navigating websites. It can perform actions such as booking appointments, filling out forms, handling customer service interactions, creating documents, generating images, and completing online purchases under the user's direction.

The agent can also connect to services such as email, calendar, and Instagram, allowing it to work with information and tools users already rely on. Meta designed Muse as a conversational assistant that users can interact with through the Muse app or WhatsApp.
